Bright-River provides Visual Content services to the larger e-commerce and retail companies around the world. Our 2D and 3D visual experts deliver product visual content daily using our in-house developed platform and applications. Our Business Technology team is a dedicated team of engineers and developers working on our platform and products. We are spread across our offices in Chennai, The Netherlands, and Bangladesh.
We are looking for Technical Support Engineer that like making sure our IT operations runs smooth in a scale-up company and love to work in a team of multiple nationalities spread over multiple countries.
Job description
As a member of the team you ensure smooth technical operations of our 24x7 production systems and applications by delivering a great service experience to our teams.
A few of the task you’d either own or contribute towards:
Incident Management – Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues reported by users or automated monitoring systems.
System Monitoring – Proactively monitor applications, servers, and network infrastructure to ensure uptime and performance.
Issue Escalation & Resolution – Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and operations teams for timely resolution of critical incidents.
User Support & Training – Assist users with software, hardware, and connectivity issues while maintaining clear documentation and knowledge base articles.
Automation & Process Improvement – Identify and implement automation tools to enhance efficiency and reduce repetitive tasks.
Software & System Upgrades – Participate in system updates, patches, and maintenance activities to ensure security and stability.
Log Analysis & Troubleshooting – Review system logs to identify patterns, root causes, and potential fixes for recurring issues.
Documentation & Reporting – Maintain records of incidents, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions to improve future support processes.
Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams – Work closely with DevOps and Product teams to improve system reliability and user experience.
Backup & Disaster Recovery Support – Ensure adherence to data backup policies and assist in disaster recovery scenarios.
24x7 Support & Rotation – Part of a 24x7 team rotation schedule to ensure company applications run smoothly, including handling critical incidents and escalations outside business hours.
Job requirements
How to stand out from the rest?
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Equivalent work experience in IT support or system administration may be considered in place of formal education.
Technical Qualifications:
Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
At least 3 years of relevant work experience in IT support, system administration, or a related field.
Experience in operating and supporting web applications and services.
Operating Systems: Proficiency in Windows troubleshooting and administration.
Networking: Basic understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls, and network troubleshooting.
Database Knowledge: Basic understanding of SQL queries, database administration, and log analysis.
Problem-Solving & Troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose hardware, software, and network issues efficiently.
