Product Owner - Chennai

We are looking for a Product Owner to join our Technology team in Chennai

Bright-River provides Visual Content services to the larger e-commerce and retail companies around the world. Our 2D and CGI visual experts deliver product visual content daily using our in-house developed platform and applications. Our Business Technology team is a dedicated team of engineers and developers working on our application stack and platform. We are spread across our offices in Netherlands, New York, India and Bangladesh.

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Product Owner to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will act as the bridge between our business objectives and the development team, ensuring that the products we deliver align with our company's vision and meet market demands. You will be responsible for defining product requirements, prioritizing features, and guiding the product development lifecycle from conception to launch.

Responsibilities:

• Gather requirements and feedback from internal stakeholders, and end-users.
• Set realistic project goals and develop appropriate methods to achieve these goals.
• Translate business needs and use cases into actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Create, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog based on changing requirements.
• Define epics, user stories, tasks, and bug fixes for each assigned project.
• Ensure that the development team has a clear understanding of backlog items.
• Answer questions and ensure the development team understands the requirements and priorities.
• Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years experience as a Product Owner or similar role in product management.
  
• In-depth knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Proficient with product management tools like Jira, Trello, or similar (strong Jira skills are preferred).
• Effective management of stakeholders and their expectations.
  
• Able to translate business needs into technical language for the development team.
• Able to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to perform well under pressure.
• Possess organizational and time management skills.
• Product Owner certifications are a plus.
